What the journal can answer
Questions about the guides themselves, the vintage accounts, the climate and soils of the Wairau Valley, the history of this domain and its old addresses: these are the journal's own ground and get full replies. Questions about buying, pricing or shipping specific wines, or about the wines of any named estate, sit outside what an independent journal does, and such mail is answered with pointers to the region's trade and tourism bodies rather than with recommendations.
Corrections
A journal that reports weather and history gets things wrong sometimes, and the fastest fix is a reader who was there. Send the page, the line and the source; corrections are applied to the page itself, and the journal thanks its correspondents in the updated text.
Rights and reuse
Quoting the journal's guides with attribution is welcome. Republishing whole pages, or lifting them for automated content sites, is not; see the legal notice. The vintage photographs on this site are illustrative images commissioned for its pages.
